True South Compass was founded by Scott Barnhart, a builder, operator, and systems thinker who has spent more than four decades working inside founder-led businesses.

Scott’s experience spans multiple roles across the construction and service industries including subcontractor, project manager, construction manager, estimator, contract administrator, and head of operations.

He has also owned and operated businesses himself, including a sail loft , and a childcare franchise that he and his wife operated for more than a decade.

Across these experiences Scott repeatedly observed the same pattern inside growing companies.
